a month agoA delightful experience with an exceptional family. Upon arrival, we were greeted with drums and a very welcoming atmosphere. Everything felt authentic, not at all touristy. We hiked in the rainforest, participated in Amazonian tribal ceremonies, learned a great deal about the jungle, and the family demonstrated exceptional knowledge of all things Amazonian plants and animals. The food was excellent, and the rooms were fantastic. The schedule was flexible, and they constantly checked in with us to see if we were satisfied or interested in any changes. I recommend coming for at least two days for a truly enriching experience; in hindsight, I would have stayed even longer.

2 months agoMy partner and I spent a wonderful few days with the Guayusa Runa family, learning about their culture, medicinal plants, and swimming in rivers and waterfalls. We are so grateful to everyone for their openness and hospitality, despite our poor Spanish and even worse Kichwa, and for treating us like part of their extended family. We learned so much, and I hope this learning will stay with us for a long time.

8 months agoDear Guayusa Runa community, from the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank you for your warm welcome, your generosity, and for sharing a piece of your lives, your wisdom, and your traditions with us. It has been a true honor for us to learn about your culture, taste guayusa, listen to your songs, and feel the power of your connection with nature. We take away deeply inspiring memories and many lessons that we will cherish forever. Thank you for your time, your patience, and for opening the doors of your community to us with such kindness. With much respect and gratitude, Johanna and Manuel with Lasse and Kjell

9 months agoThe best experience: a stunning location, a welcoming family, and a safe environment for you and your family. If you visit, stay more than one day, or it won't be enough to fully appreciate the beauty of the rainforest and the family's culture.
