Runa Mikuna Wasi is much more than a restaurant, it is a window to the Amazonian culture and gastronomic tradition, located in the Kichwa Ancestral Commune of Sarayaku, in the province of Sucumbíos, Ecuador.
For more than a decade, the Mancilla Cuji and Dahua Gualinga families have dedicated their efforts to sharing the richness of their culinary heritage with the world, offering an authentic and unique gastronomic experience.
Our commitment to excellence and authenticity is reflected in every dish we serve. The ingredients with which we prepare our dishes are carefully selected and come from local and sustainable sources, thus respecting both the environment and the ancestral traditions of our community. From the first bite, you will be transported to the lush Amazon jungles, where the flavors are as intense as life itself.
Located in a picturesque enclave, Runa Mikuna Wasi offers two access routes to reach our gastronomic sanctuary. You can cross the old Aguarico bridge, kilometer 16, on the road to Coca, or venture through the prison Y, just 4 kilometers away.
Our hours of operation reflect our commitment to service to the community. We are open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. to share with our clients and friends our passion for our culture and typical Amazonian cuisine.
Our kitchen is full of authentic dishes, from delicious soups to exquisite main dishes, all prepared with the love and dedication only found in traditional Amazon homes. We also offer home delivery services and reservations for groups of companies or friends so you can enjoy our flavors.
